Get Rid of Under Eye Bags: Emergency Tips

The only bags you should dream of are Prada bags! Under eye bags should not be tolerated and you should get rid of them ASAP. Let’s make it straight. We are not talking about the dark under eye circles you get after sleepless night. We are talking about puffy lower eyelids. Under eye bags are actually made of liquid that is retained under your skin. The reasons may be different: from poor sleep and stress to heredity and hormonal changes. We are not going to get deep into the problem but rather tell you how to quickly get rid of those bags to look fresh and confident during the day.

Tip #1 – Spoon Them Off

This is a very easy but effective way to get rid of puffiness under eyes. Just put metal spoons in the fridge for 10-15 minutes and then press the spoon slightly to your eye lids until it gets warm.
How it works: cold relaxes the blood vessels and relieves puffiness.

Tip #2 – Get Some Tea for Them

Use tea bags or cotton tampons soaked in tea. Chill them previously in the fridge and put on your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes. Lay down and relax.
How it works: the effect is similar to cold spoons but due to tea this method also has anti-irritant effect. Tea is a great treatment for any eye inflammation as well.

Tip #3 – Food Treatment: Potato, Cucumber, Egg White

The easiest treatment for your under eye bags is in your fridge right now. Any of the following products will have fantastic effect with minimal time and efforts. Take 2 slices of cucumber and place them on your eyes for 10 minutes (you’ve probably seen that plenty of times). Or beat an egg white and apply with a brush under the eyes. After 20 minutes wash it off with cold water. Or slice a raw potato and place it like in the case with cucumber on your eyes. 15-20 minutes will be enough to where you can visibly see the difference.
How it works: Cucumber and potato have anti-inflammatory properties and also tone up your under eye skin. That way you reduce puffiness. Egg white has a proven skin-tightening effect.

Tip # 4 – Conceal Them

If you have no time for treatment – conceal! Use a concealer that matches your skin tone. Apply it by slightly patting it in the under eye zone (no rubbing, because it will get even worse). You can also opt for sly make up secrets – like highlighting your upper eye lids and making eye lashes look bigger to distract attention from under eye zone. Or make an accent on your lips.
How it works: Make up is a good emergency tip if you have important appointments or are going to a party. But it works only for several hours and will not bring you a satisfactory, long lasting effect. Concealing the problem doesn’t make it disappear, right?

Tip #5 – More Water!

Proper hydration is a remedy for lots of troubles and eye bags is not an exception. Everyone has an individual water schedule but, in this case, you should drink as much as possible. A good idea is to drink a glass of water every time you notice your eyes get puffy.
How it works: it seems strange that eye bags caused by water retention should be treated with more water. However, our body works like that: if you deprive yourself of water, it starts storing it up as a defense. If you get enough water – it isn’t stored, and so you don’t get bags under eyes. Simple as that.

Tip #6 – Apply Aloe Vera

Apply an aloe vera gel, or any skin care product that includes aloe vera extracts. Be careful not to get the gel into your eyes because it will irritate them.
How it works: Aloe vera has antioxidant effect and is rich in Vitamin E which is nourishing for your skin. When applied on the skin under eyes, aloe vera will improve blood circulation and take away the extra fluid around your eyes.

Tip #7 – Beat Your Allergy

Allergy is one of the most likely reasons for puffy eyes. So if you want to get rid of puffy eyes effect take a good antihistamine medicine; it will do the trick on those bags!
How it works: Antihistamine medicine takes out the swelling and dries up your puffy eyes as well as runny nose that may be the cause of the trouble.
These are the home remedies you can use to get rid of eye bags fast and with little extra effort. But keep in mind that quick help is not the solution for the problem and if you want to get rid of the under eye bags forever you should find the reasons and go for the complex treatment to solve the issue.
